Single Stage Double Suction Centrifugal Pump Installation：
1. Check whether the double suction centrifugal pump and motor are damaged.
2. The installation height of the water pump, plus the hydraulic loss of the suction pipeline and its speed energy, must not be greater than the allowable suction vacuum height value specified in the sample. The foundation dimensions should comply with the installation dimensions of the pump unit.
3. Installation sequence:
(1) Place the double-suction pump on a concrete foundation with embedded anchor bolts. You can use wedge-shaped pads during adjustment to correct the level, and tighten the anchor bolts appropriately to avoid movement.
(2) Pour concrete after the foundation and the bottom corner of the single-stage double-suction pump.
(3) Wait until the concrete is dry before tightening the anchor bolts and rechecking the levelness of the double suction pump.
(4) Correct the concentricity of the motor shaft and centrifugal pump shaft. Make sure that the two axes are in a straight line, the allowable error of coaxiality on the outer circle of the two shafts is 0.1mm, and the allowable error of the unevenness of the end gap along the circumference is 0.3mm.
(5) After checking that the direction of the motor is consistent with that of the double-suction pump, install the coupling and connecting pin.
4. The inlet and outlet pipelines should be equipped with separate support frames and cannot be supported by the pump body.
5. The joint surface between the double-suction pump and the pipeline should have good air tightness. In particular, the water inlet pipeline needs to be tight and air-tight, and there should be no possibility of air remaining on the device.
6. If it is installed at the water inlet position, a bottom valve can be installed in order for the double-suction pump to be filled and started normally. You can use vacuum water diversion method.
7. After connecting the double-suction pump and the water outlet pipeline, it is usually necessary to install a gate valve and a check valve. The check valve can be installed behind the gate valve.
The installation method mentioned above refers to a double-suction pump without a common base. When installing a single-stage double-suction horizontal centrifugal pump with a common base, the levelness can be corrected by adjusting the wedge-shaped shim between the base and the concrete foundation. Concrete is then poured in between. The rest of the installation principles and requirements are the same as those for units without a common base.
